We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic site assistants and an assistant supervisor position with immediate start for ongoing archaeological sites at Downpatrick, Co Down.
We require both experienced archaeologist and trainee graduate archaeologists for a period of 4 weeks to end of November.
Additional junior site supervisor is also required to assist with a number of ongoing monitoring projects.
Experienced site assistant candidates are expected to have a degree in archaeology and at least 6 months experience in a commercial environment.
Trainee graduate archaeologists with no previous experience will also be considered.
Junior site supervisor should have at at least 2 years commercial experience and access to own transport.
Candidates should have good communications skills and be able to work as part of a team under instruction of the archaeological site manager.
All candidates should have an up to date CSR / CSCS / Safe Pass card and include details in your application.
All candidates must be eligible to work in UK with UK bank account and National Insurance Number.
Salary ranges from £320 p/w (£16640) as trainee archaeologist rising to £350 p/w (£18200) for Site Assistant (>6 months experience) to £370 (£19240) for more experienced archaeologist and £390 p/w (£20280) for site supervisor.
Working conditions include 37.5hr week, paid leave accrued for each day worked on a pro-rata basis (28 days per year) and PPE provided as standard.
